Graham Tait took the Sonik road show to the picturesque fishery of Cleveley Mere, just off the M6, 3 miles north of Garstang in Lancashire.
I must admit it its been a long time since I savoured the arrival of spring to the extent that I have of late . Every day I've been out on the bank taking in deep lungfuls of fresh air and really enjoying my fishing time. Thankfully, little Honey our daughter has reached the age where she can attend nursery for the afternoon and this means that I get my third night back as I’ve been restricted to two nights a week over the last year, so this will make a huge difference to my fishing for the rest of the year.
Today I fished the Lake of Menteith in Scotland, with the site members from Trout and Fly. It’s becoming an annual vigil to the Lake in the early part of the season and this year was no exception. Last year we took a good few to Menteith, but nothing like this year’s trip with the full lake being booked out to the site members. In addition, Sonik Sports were there for two days, promoting their product range to all and sundry.
The brown trout season on most rivers in the area opened on 22nd March I had to wait just over a week more before I could get at my favourite beat of the Wansbeck.
