FLY ROD

sk4 fly rods have smooth fast actions, with exceptional tip recovery for extra distance and accuracy under a wide range of conditions. Exceptionally lightweight and well balanced in the hand, these rods are designed to deliver precise casts and fight big fish. Destined to set a new industry standard for performance, value and reliability. Four pieces for convenience, the range is available in seven sizes from 8' #3/4, for delicate river work, up to 10' #7/8 for long distance reservoir boat and bank fishing.
- Golden Olive gloss blanks made with top grade Toray carbon fibres.
- Matching 1K carbon weave on the base 'logo' section for extra durability and style.
- 'AAA' grade Portuguese cork handles with subtle 'thumb indent' on 9'6" and 10' models for extra comfort and stability of grip. These models feature a full wells handle shape with neat extension butt for playing fish. Rod lengths of 9' and below have slightly slimmer half wells handle design with sk4 logo laser etched onto the base of the reel seat.
- Reel seat is machined from lightweight, marine grade aluminium which is then hard anodised in champagne gold to prevent corrosion. A fixed hood is keyed to a channel built into the woven carbon insert. This automatically centres and holds any reel size securely and ensures a permanent anchorage. The oversize screw thread on the sliding hood ensures reel connection is smooth and trouble free. A small fix with big consequences!
- Lightweight high stand-off Aluminium Oxide stripper guides anodised in black for stealth.
- Single leg intermediate guides which are extremely lightweight and flexible without sacrificing strength. 50% fewer guide wraps results in less interference with the blank action and also reduces overall weight. Closed loop reduces friction for longer casts. Stainless steel construction with industrial hard chrome plating for performance and durability. Lightweight hayfork tip guides complete the picture.
- Olive green tyings to match the blank with subtle copper tippings on the butt section only.
- Alignment lines and length/line weight information on each section for easy set up and ring alignment.
- Supplied in a good quality cloth bag with a durable triangular cordura tube with strap and carry handle for safe transportation.
- Backed up by the SONIK Product Warranty and RAPIDEX immediate replacement service for total peace of mind.
- 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed!

In September 09 I was at Jubilee Trout Lakes, Nr. Darlington, Whilst there I saw the Sonik 10' 7/8# Rod and decided to buy it. Despite having a number of other rods I started using the Sonik all the time. I really like this rod and especially the small indentation in the cork for your thumb. Well I like it so much I have just bought the 10' 6/7# rod for lighter work. I intend to use the #6/7 for floating lines and the #7/8 for lures on a sinker. Both rods will be used for Still waters but also Sea Trout fishing the #7/8 used with larger tubes. Great rods at a great price. Having just had a good look at the reels I have ordered a couple of them as well to go with the rods. Sonik, yes I like your stuff, think I'll be saving again for a & 7' 3/4# and a 13' double hander. Thanks

Posted 18/03/2010Wes OwerHi, I was one of lucky readers of trout fisherman to win the £100 prize I addad a bit to it and bought the above rod. WOW !!!!!!!!!!! I have have used Sage and Hardy rods for the last 20 years and this was by far the biggest supprise.....I purchast the 9ft rod and was able to cast into the wind with ease taking 6 fish for 16 1/2 lb this is by far the best rod that i have ever fished with and in time will be replacing all my rods with this range My only critisisim for me is that I prefer snake eyes but mabe that is because I'm a bit old fashioned. Keep up the good work this rod knocks spots of Sage and the attention to detail and finish is second to none. Regards
