You will end your day with an increased knowledge of fly fishing & casting, the river's ecosystem, and a feeling of vacating the normal routine, if only for a few hours, a day, or two! We will accomodate in any way possible to provide a better experience to our clients. It's a hospitality thing!

We aim to be flexible and tailor the day to suit your requirements. If we are having a good time and the fish are feeding then the last cast can sometimes take a while!

Built in 1751 by the Strang-Steel family of the Philiphaugh Estate. The lounge fireplace features one of the original beams of the house carved with the date of the building. Surrounded by gardens and woodland the Philipburn enjoys a tranquil setting on the edge of the border town of Selkirk.
