After a very busy period at work, I finally managed a two-week holiday. My last fishing session was quite some time ago, so thanks to some valuable information from a good friend, I rented a small house with a big lake (3500 hect.) in the backyard. My girlfriend joined me and so it wasn’t all about fishing, we spent three days on the beach before I started baiting up a very large area behind the house. I tried to get the attention of the fish by putting 30kg of Chinese Take Away Boilies in, at a distance of 300 meters out from the bank. Luckily my little plan worked.

After one hour fishing on the first day, one of my SK4 Rods went off and I started this session with a beautiful fish at 20.2 kg. I continued with heavy baiting and the takes kept coming. My sk4 rods passed the ultimate test when a Catfish of 1.8 meter was caught by accident.

In the whole two weeks I fished seven days and nights and caught plenty of fish. My girlfriend turned out to be the perfect fish mate and helped me with two hands full of 15+ kg and another three 20+ kg carp.

The cherry on the top came the very last day when I caught a big mirror of 26.2 kg, which made the session perfect. Overall it was a very relaxed session on a big beautiful lake, with some relaxing time at the beach on the side.
