Good day. My name is Stephen Bibby, I moved to New Zealand 15 years ago and have been surf casting since I was about 10.
I still surf cast a lot, (every weekend if my Wife lets me) I have a boat but would much rather sit on a beach with my rods. Last year I came across one of your fantastic rods, an SK3 in a shop, I couldn't believe it, a decent rod here in NZ! Since then I have bought an SK4. The fishing down here is completely different from in the UK, not only are the fish a lot bigger but the conditions are somewhat rougher. I have hooked up on really big stingrays and have landed them, 20lb snapper no bother. My real love is to sit on a surf beach and fish for long range Gurnard and Kawahai.

I have just returned back from my trip really hard fishing up North, out of 120 guys all on boats except Brian and I, the biggest Snapper was just 6 lb. We walked miles over the rocks gashing my legs, which caused more stitches and another scar, carrying too much gear that I didn't even use. The sk4 was a gem to use but had too revert to stray lining with a fixed spool because of all the thick kelp, such an awesome country with beautiful scenery.

My fish was heavier than the winning Snapper but sadly was wrong species, Northern Parouri, there was too many sharks around, some small Hammer Heads and Makos.

Thank you for producing a truly fantastic range of rods I like them so much I have even bought private number plates for my 4x4 beach transport. My old Shakespeare pro max cast can now be retired.
