i have been a coarse angler for almost 50 years, 20 of them on the match scene using high quality tackle. i am now taking up trout fishing locally and in ireland, my first purchase from your goodselves was a sk4 7 to 8 10" and reel, the quality of both was far greater than expected. the quality is superb at a very realistic price. i have therefore put on hold any future purchases of tackle and clothing to wait for your goodselves to introduce new items in the near future, keep up the good work and quality yours faithfully brian foster

If the standard of the rod is equal to the level of customer service then you can do no better! As a novice I phoned to discuss options and was impressed by the advice provided which was not to sell the most expensive rod available but was genuinely geared to my current requirements and future aspirations. The delivery date was tailored to my needs rather than the blanket 24 hours after the order was placed and I was contacted before the order was despatched to ensure that the reel was set up correctly for my use. I can hardly wait to use it in anger this weekend and am certain that I will be buying again from Sonik Sport in the very near future.

This rod is a breath of fresh air in rod development. When I tried this rod out I threw everything at it, using various casting styles and it responded gracefully every time. Able to hurl sinkers over 180yards with very little effort, it’s a joy to cast with and a lot of fun. Plenty of back bone to this rod with heaps more power to spare; it delivers the goods every time, period! A superbly designed product using the very latest up to date carbons, incredibly slim, light and beautifully balanced, it’s a real gem of a rod, awesomely good and worthy tool in any carp angler’s armoury. I recently bought the Sonik sk3 rod and reel combo, and found the quality and finish of both to be excellent. Also the service, and ease of buying were fantastic. I think this rod will blow the market to pieces when carp anglers get to play with it. I have bought three, and I am so pleased I did. I have noticed a big difference with the control of my casting which has given confidence to my presentation. A well balanced rod with a big pit. I like to see a new producer on the scene and I've never been one to stick with established brands just because of the name. So when I saw these Sonik rods advertised on the cover of Trout Fisherman I was immediately curious as I was after a new reservoir rod at the time. The special offer price was too much to resist, especially after reading the reviews. Now that I have the rod, I feel 'double lucky' to have paid such a small price for such a great rod. I've used it twice in the last few weeks - once on a reservoir and once for some salt water fun. The SK3 7/8 has anough backbone to get those long distance casts out there and it really was a treat to use with some larger salt water flies. I'd have been more than happy even if I'd paid full price for this rod. I'll definitely be recommending them to fishing friends of mine! Well done Sonik!

It's not that often I give credit where credits due, But many thanks Sonik for your help and guidance (as a novice) its great to get first hand advice of what outfit was best to buy for my style of fishing. The service was second to none from start to finish and the delivery turned up when you said it would. On opening I must admit the quality and finish of the rod and reel was superb.

The 9'6" #7/8 is a very pleasing rod to handle with a #7 line but I might try a #8 to see if there is a significant difference. It casts a long line with little effort. I like the thumb print on the handle and the alignment marks on the joints are useful prticularly on a 4 piece rod. The attractive finish and good travel case make this an attractive good value rod.

At last I managed to use my Sonik SK3 fly rod after purchasing it from you last month. I found it to be one of the best rods I have used, very light and easy to handle. I fished for half a day and christened it by catching 8 rainbow trout up to 3lbs (catch & release) it handled the fish very well. On thursday14th August I went with a club to Foremark boat fishing. I used my Sonik3 10ft 7/8 for the first time. It was a day of changeable weather with the wind direction often changing. I caught 9 trout to about 31/2lbs. It was a hard day with not many fish being caught. I used everything from lures to hare's ears size 10 flies on both floating and sinking lines. The rod handled all the fish with ease including the occasions when I quickly bullied the fish to the boat. My boat partner, an experienced competition fisher of many years commented on both the ease and distance of line the rod sent out and that he would not dare put so much pressure when playing a fish on his rods manufactured by a competitor of yours. (Rods that cost considerably more). The rod was a joy to use all day. I noticed no effort in casting even into the wind and no tiredness it was as easy to cast at the end of the day as the beginning. I will enjoy using the rod for boat competitions and have every faith in its ability to fish the many different flies and lines used boat fishing.

My new Sonik rod is great, perhaps too great!I have used the rod twice both times alongside one that cost me over £550. Much to my wife's annoyance, I can't honestly tell the difference. Likewise, I can't explain to her why I paid an extra £300 which, "Could have gone towards a new dishwasher."
