After a love affair with angling for the last 40 years, I've decided to focus more on carping recently. Every magazine I read seemed to have adverts for Sonik SK rods. Every article seemed to have yet another person 'christening' their new Sonik SK rods. I was going to have to find out more about these! " Hi Scott" I said to a work mate. " You're close to the magazine world. What's the real word on the street regarding these Sonik rods?" I'm a bit sceptical when it comes to the press,you see. "Well,I was fishing with Martin Ford when he tried these out. Not one word of criticism came from Martin", Scott replied. "Ah!" says I. "Does that mean that they're good rods, or just good value for money, with the 3 for 2 deal?" "No", said Scott, "they're excellent rods full stop!" Okay then, that was good enough for me. 3 Sonik sk4 3lb rods were ordered on the Tuesday, 3 rods arrived with a complimentary cap (nice touch) on the Wednesday, by 8.30p.m. Thursday the rods were christened with a beautiful 13lb common. More fish were to follow. The rods look beautiful, are a dream to cast and playing carp on them is a doddle. People on the bank couldn't help themselves, but ask what the rods were and admire their looks and 'feel'. One very satisfied customer!

Hi, my Sonik rods arrived as promised the day after I ordered them and on a purely cosmetic level look fantastic. While I wont be using them until a fourthcoming trip to France, I have had an extended play and the tip recovery is better than any rod I have seen. I think there will be some pictures of some French lumps coming your way. Free cap was a really nice touch too.

After taking notice of one of the catchy Sonik adverts in Carpworld, I took it upon myself to investigate this product further. After reading some recent feedback on the Sonik website, my mind was made up. The service I received from ordering to receiving my SK4 rods was outstanding and the rods were packaged very careful. Since then I have made it out onto the bank to put them through their paces. I am delighted to say not only do the rods look the part, they also do the business with regards to casting capabilities and have the required action when playing fish at close quarters. Its fair to say I am very impressed with this product and I am sure that these rods will make more and more appearances on the bank. The current deal is also fantastic and I would suggest unbeatable. I strongly recommend these rods for anyone currently looking to buy.

I spent a lot off time deciding on carp rods, but on the 2nd October I received through the post 3 off 12ft 31/4tc sk4 rods.Firstly must say the feedback to my questions asked to Ian McCormack was superb and helped me to choose the right rods. On receiving the rods I firstly noticed how slim and crisp actioned they were,I am sure I am going to get the distance I need. Very well made and very understated in looks just how I like them ,rings are superb and the added 3 leg 40mm butt and 30 mm next ring have put the strongest in the right place with the added single legs to allow the battle curve to exist is great . With the warranty in place to be honest I cannot see myself changing these for years to come . It is raining so hard outside today but I am still going to christen these rods ,all I can say is anyone considering carp rods should really have a look at these because they certainly will be amazed at how much rod they are getting for the money.

sk must stand for Superb Kit.... These rods look great and feel like pure quality..........but, just wait till you fish with them, WOW, I am so happy I bought these.. They're great rods.

After a long debate with myself about which Rod to choose I finally settled for the Sk4 Carp rod from Sonik. I must admit i was very unsure at first so I did some research and found nothing but good news about them. I received the rods (3) on the next day delivery and im not joking, they are stunning. Genuinely they are gorgeous and look stunning on the bank paired up with my Daiwa Basia's. Believe everything you read. Stunning rods at a great price. Cheers Ricky

Sonik hi, Just got back from carpruns " Moulin de bley" What a week to use my new SK4. I had 5 x 40lb to 48lb and 25 x 30lbs to 39lb, the rods are fantasic. The casting power was great, and the playing of fish was very subtle. great rods. Thanks Matt Smith ( Tring, Herts)

First outing with my brand new sk4 carp rods saw a mid 20lb carp at my local day water fishery riddings, grendon near Tamworth staffs. The SK4's cast perfectly and gave perfect feed back when dealing with my new PB carp a fantastic saturday fishing with my new rods. I cannot wait to get out again and use my SK4's they are perfect.

I have been an angler for 44 of my 54 years, carping for the last 20 years. Bought Sonik sk4's last week, went to my local Prince Albert Water to try them out, What can I say the best rods I have ever owned. received the sk4 rods(3of them) the other day, i was totally impressed by them, managed to get on the water last night and they can punch a single, stringer or bag a good distance with minimal effort(how any people can slate them before they have even had ago is beyond me...cant wait for the spod and marker rod out so i can get rid of my greys gear!) dan marks cumbria

This rod is a breath of fresh air in rod development. When I tried this rod out I threw everything at it, using various casting styles and it responded gracefully every time. Able to hurl sinkers over 180yards with very little effort, it’s a joy to cast with and a lot of fun. Plenty of back bone to this rod with heaps more power to spare; it delivers the goods every time, period! A superbly designed product using the very latest up to date carbons, incredibly slim, light and beautifully balanced, it’s a real gem of a rod, awesomely good and worthy tool in any carp angler’s armoury. I think this rod will blow the market to pieces when carp anglers get to play with it. I have bought three, and I am so pleased I did. I have noticed a big difference with the control of my casting which has given confidence to my presentation. A well balanced rod with a big pit. Thank god there is a rod on the market that will stand par to a rod twice the amount. Jayce Peacock
