Hi, I was one of lucky readers of trout fisherman to win the £100 prize I addad a bit to it and bought the above rod. WOW !!!!!!!!!!! I have have used Sage and Hardy rods for the last 20 years and this was by far the biggest supprise.....I purchast the 9ft rod and was able to cast into the wind with ease taking 6 fish for 16 1/2 lb this is by far the best rod that i have ever fished with and in time will be replacing all my rods with this range My only critisisim for me is that I prefer snake eyes but mabe that is because I'm a bit old fashioned. Keep up the good work this rod knocks spots of Sage and the attention to detail and finish is second to none. Regards

On the 03/11/2009 17:45 I ordered : SONIK SK4 FLY ROD-8'#3/4 SONIK SK LITE REEL #3/4 SONIK SK4 FLY LINE-WF4 The next day at 14:30 it was delivered to the door. I quickly set up the rod and reel fully loaded, amazing balance and sensitivity. The fabrication of this rod and reel is second to none, I would say it's up there with the equipment from Alnwick(no name dropping). Ordered my SK4 8'6" 4/5 Rod & SK4 5/6 reel on Tuesday and it arrived the next day. Communication was great on purchasing the kit, Sonik were realy helpful with me. The kit is great, well balanced and throws a perfect long line, even longer than any off my 7 weight kits. First time I used the kit I also caught a 15.2 trout from Dever Springs, great all round and really recommended. Well done sonik, regards paul lee.

FIRST OUTING LAST WEEK WITH THIS ROD, 3 FISH CAUGHT AND HAVING TO BATTLE 25MPH WINDS. I purchased a Sonik sk3 9ft 5/6 rod ,reel and line in early August and was so pleased with the product that,this month, I purchased a Sonik sk4 9.5ft 7/8 rod, line and reel for my son. We are both new to fly fishing and the rods seem to be most sympathetic to novices. The telephone advice I received was extemely helpful and the delivery service was outstanding. Since purchasing a matched pair of SK4 rods and SK4 reels casting is effortless and my catch rate has increased. A worthwhile investment and not one I regret.

Having purchased a Sonik sk4 9'#5/6 rod, this is how I rate it. I have been fishing for 50 years, owned rods costing £600, this rod has everything. All my reels will fit, the shape of the rod tube means it will not roll about in the car, the finish is equal to any rod. Now to casting - I used one of your #6 lines - one false cast & I reached a measured 20 yards. With very little effort, 25 yards was reached. I caught 8 fish to 5lbs on my first trip & playing the fish was no problem. The service is first class - I am sure given time, that Sonik will be the rod to own!

Bought an sk4 9ft6 7/8 rod, matching reel and also matching fly line. Can't fault any of them one bit! It's an excellent outfit especially for the price. Certainly reccomend this to anyone! Also great advice from the guys at sonik in Blyth.

After a bad experience with another manufacturer's rod costing over £600, a very good freind of mine lent me a Sonik SK4 #4/5, never looked back! I have got 5 rods in the range now which have cost me the same as the one previous rod. They do the job better in my opinion & at a fraction of the cost ,add the SK4 fly line and you get the perfect combination. Firstly I was amazed by the speed at which my new sk4 arrived. I live in the Highlands of Scotland in a postcode area that normally requires me to pay a premium for delivery and to wait forever to receive my order, but my sonik arrived within 24 hours at the standard delivery cost. The rod itself is very well finished and has a great action. I have been taking a few casting lessons and my instructor will be buying sonik in the future, in fact everyone that has cast with the rod has said that they would buy a sonik rod. Some of my fishing friends have much more expensive rods that don't perform as well as my sk4. I could not be more pleased with my purchase. They say that you only get what you pay for but in this case I have got a rod that is the equal if not better than some rods that cost many times more.

Simply the best rod on the market. I recently fought 2 x rainbows, 1 at 17lb and 1 at 16lb. Plenty of power and response - no troubles. Matched with a WF5, casting is effortless.

Hi, got my SK4 today - had to buy this rod as I have the SK3 & was so impressed with it. The quality of this sk4 is fantastic & price even better. Going on fishing trip with it on Sunday, will definately be buying more products as the service & quality cannot be matched. Cameron

Absolutely superb, wasn't sure what to expect from a relative newcomer to the market. The rod is exactly what I was looking for, great balance and positive to cast but manages to remain forgiving when you don't get it quite right. The rod and reel also look absolutely fantastic.

I was toying with the idea to get myself a new #6 flyrod already for a couple of weeks. However, since I assumed that the price of a decent one would easily exceed 400 Euros, I planned to wait until christmas with the purchase ("political reasons"). After reading some reviews on SONIK flyrods I became so curious that I finally decided to order one myself. This went exceptionally well: ordered the rod on Sunday afternoon, it was delivered to my home in Germany on Tuesday morning. When I opened the case, I was really impressed. The "look and feel" of a high quality rod you would usually have to spend a lot more money at. Being eager to try out the rod, I went fishing in the evening even though the water temperature was way too warm for any serious trout fishing. Anyhow, this particular evening it was not important to me to catch fish, I just enjoyed the casting. I absolutely have to agree with the statement another customer made: it´s not a rod, it´s a catapult. Great rod, great service, will absolutely buy again.

The rod I purchased arrived the next day as promised. I am very impressed with the quality and finish of the product.The thumb indent is an exceptional idea making it a lot better to use on long sessions.I own two other fly rods which cost a lot more than the price I paid for my Sonik rod and it out classes both of them

Having bought my 8ft 3/4 SK4 at the Game fair last month, I was eager to try it out on a narrow carrier of the River Test and I'm delighted to say I was not disappointed. I ordered this rod recently on a Wednesday around midday, the next day I had the beautiful rod in my hands so I was greatly impressed with the ordering from Sonik and their great delivery with Citylink. I 'phoned up immediately and spoke to a member of staff at Sonik to commend them on the safe, secure, fast arrival of my new rod. The rod itself is in a class of its own. I used Greys rods before and had my heart set on buying a new one. I took a chance with the SK4 and I'm glad I did, this rod helps me cast tighter loops and throws out a longer more controlled line than my old Greys. I've fished twice with this rod in as many weeks and the weather has been against me, too bright on the first outing and soaked to the skin on the second even with brand name wet weather gear on. I cannot recommend the rod or the company enough, a true breath of fresh air in the game fishing world. Well done and I hope others get their hands on a fantastic rod by Sonik soon and see what I mean Derek Robertson, Edinburgh

Thanks for my 3-4wt sk4, I had to wait for two weeks before I could use it, but did manage to fish the upper Wye this week end. No fish, but found the rod a pleasure to use, super range and placement and beautifully finished. I have to take it out of is case regularly just to look at it!

I was very impressed at the great service and quick delivery service I received when purchasing my SK4 Fly Rod. The rod performed well in its first test at Stocks Reservoir - I caught a very respectable bag of five Rainbow Trout!
