First ever fly rod and reel. Sonik sales staf were very helpful and gave good advice, even suggesting I buy the sk3 fly rod instead of sk4 for a learner fly fisherman. The quality of the rod and reel is very high, forget spending more on fly tackle, just buy sonik! Will look to buy more from sonik in the future.

Just received my SK4 flyreel #7/8. It is a great flyreel given it's price. Machining is of a very high quality and it's drag and smooth running is very impressive. Many thanks to my dad Eric for telling me about his new sonik sk4 rod he bought. I was so impressed when I used it I went and bought two, one for me and one for my 11 year old son Daniel. Daniel is just starting out in fly fishing so I needed to find a good rod for him to use.I was not disapointed nor was he It has help him a great deal in his casting. It nice to see the third generation of the Thompson family enjoying what is amazing sport.As for me my first cast with my sonik sk4 at halligton landed me a nice three pound rainbow trout.Many thanks to the guys at sonik for producing such a great rod.Cant wait till I buy our new reels.
