sk3 fly rods have medium fast actions, which are easy to load and will present a fly at range with accuracy and precision time after time. Light weight and well balanced in the hand, they are ideal for a wide range of casting styles and are the perfect choice for newcomers and experts alike. Available in seven sizes from 8’ #3/4 up to 10’ #7/8 they cover the vast majority of freshwater fly fishing applications.
- Aqua green gloss blanks made with top grade Toray carbon fibres.
- Matching 1K carbon weave on the base 'logo' section for extra durability and style.
- 'AA' grade Portuguese cork handles with subtle 'thumb indent' on 9'6" and 10' models for extra comfort and stability of grip. These rod lengths feature a full wells handle shape with a neat extension butt for playing fish. Rod lengths of 9' and below have slightly slimmer half wells handle design with sk3 logo laser etched onto the base of the reel seat.
- Reel seat is machined from lightweight, marine grade aluminium which is then hard anodised in black to prevent corrosion. A fixed hood is keyed to a channel built into the woven carbon insert. This automatically centres and holds any reel size securely and ensures a permanent anchorage. The oversize screw thread on the sliding hood ensures reel connection is smooth and trouble free. A small fix with big consequences!
- Lightweight high stand-off Aluminium Oxide stripper guides anodised in black for stealth.
- Single leg intermediate guides which are extremely lightweight and flexible without sacrificing strength. 50% fewer guide wraps results in less interference with the blank action and also reduces overall weight. Closed loop reduces friction for longer casts. Stainless steel construction with industrial hard chrome plating for performance and durability. Lightweight hayfork tip guides complete the picture.

After reading all the reviews in the trout mages recently I decide to purchase a the SONIK 3 9'6" 7/8 Fly rod and reel combo. The rod and reel were delivered next day, Looking at the reel it looked an excellent piece of kit, changing the wind on the reel was relatively straight forward. After the first few casts I quickly noticed how much further I was casting. The combo handled beautifully. I throughly recommend the products they are a delight to use. With a birthday coming up I guess there will be a few more ~SONIK items getting added to my collection

I called in on Friday 17/10/08 and spent some time with Tim who set up the SK3 rod and reel for me to try.By 1430 that same afternoon I was out on the water casting better than I have done before.Was out again the following Monday.What a difference the Sonik rod and reel have made to my casting.
