I have only used the rod once but found it very 'user friendly' having had to take it easy on the cast due to me recovering from a broken collar bone. Can handle a 7oz lead no probs and also pulling out of the rocks and kelp without a grumble...didn't catch anything but the rod was given a good going over. Try one - Buy one!!!
